Dear future self,
I'm reminding you about your stated goal on 43 things, to
"get out of debt/own a farm/save money/own the sopranos dvd set/get a tattoo".
How's it going?
Sincerely,
Your past self
i must've set it to remind me a year later so that i don't forever forget these goals. needless to say, i have not done anything to get any closer to accomplishing these goals. well, maybe the 'get a tatoo' one. but for some reason, i tend to be braver about it when i'm pregnant. and i've heard that pregnant women and tattoos don't mix. especially when hormone-ridden, impulsive decisions are at an all time high. i don't think your S.O would appreciate you having "i hate you for making me so fat" written permanently across your body. i know i wouldn't. even though i may have felt that way at that exact moment.
anyway, back to the goals. i find that they've changed a little. 'own a sopranos dvd set' is definitely NOT high on my priority list right now and i'm the only silly one who has that goal. and maybe making short term specific goals that aren't materialistic would be more motivating as they're easier to attain and don't cost money (the other two on my list are 'go to japan' and 'build a porch'). did i really think i would do all of this in a year? i wonder how long it would take for the average person.
the great thing about the site is that they don't give you a time limit on your goals. they send you the reminders whenever you want. so if you're the procrastinating type like me, then maybe it's better to have them remind you once a month rather than once a year. so i'm going to re-think my goals in the next couple of days and update them. also, i took the personality quiz and the result is below. it was nice to be able to tick the checkbox of things i have done. yay for me. oh, and did i mention that these guys wrote a book?
